Essential gas works taking place from (W/C 5th October) following the identification of a gas leak on Lower Kirkgate. Northern Gas will be attending the area alongside our ongoing works to carry out the necessary repairs.
To allow these works to take place safely:
- Traffic management will switch to the opposite side of the carriageway on Monday 5th October (moving to the side of the carriageway closest to Halifax Minster)
- A lane closure will be in place on the Minster side of the carriageway for the duration of the gas works
- The existing 5-way temporary traffic light system will remain in operation
- Vehicle and pedestrian access will be maintained and clearly signed.
