Visit Britain’s smallest music venue
The Grayston Unity, near to Halifax Town Hall, has eight beers on draft and 100 different types of spirits, but has a capacity of just 18 for its popular weekly gigs.
Explore Shibden Hall
Just a mile from our hotel is Shibden Hall, which was once home to the diarist, landowner, mountaineer and local legend Anne Lister, better known as Gentleman Jack.
Make a Eureka! play date
Just opposite our hotel is the award-winning children’s museum, Eureka! With not one glass case is sight, this museum is aimed at youngsters, although adults are guaranteed a good time too.
Head to Ogden Water
The perfect place to get back to nature, take a stroll along the footpath which winds around the lake or explore the three longer trails through the park.
Scale a climbing wall
Just down the road, a redundant flour silo has been turned into Britain’s highest man-made climbing wall, which is open to everyone from complete novices to skilled climbers.
